Artist, actress, mother, and hide tanner, Melaw Nakehk’o is a conduit to the past, using her art to connect her community to the rich cultural heritage handed down by her ancestors.

Nakehk’o isDene and hails fromŁı́ı́dlı̨ı̨ Kų́ę́(Fort Simpson, Northwest Territories).
